Biography

Luigi Cerulo is an associate professor of computer science at the University of Sannio since 2015 and an adjunct researcher at the Bioinformatics laboratory of the BIOGEM Research Center since 2008. He received his degree in computer engineering from the University of Sannio in 2001 and later obtained his Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the same university with a thesis on the study of software system evolution. Since 2007, he has been working on bioinformatics, particularly on machine learning in computational genomics. Luigi Cerulo is the author of over 70 scientific articles published in journals, conference proceedings, and international workshops and has developed numerous computational tools for cancer genomics and functional analysis of long non-coding RNA. He teaches computational biology and programming and is currently the head of the bioinformatics laboratory at the Department of Science and Technology at the University of Sannio. Prof. Cerulo will be co-responsible for the Data Analysis area of IMMUNOMICA.
